  • Hook & Ladder: Web Developer

    Headquarters: Colombia

    URL: http://hldigital.ca

    We’re Hiring a Web Developer (Multi-Platform Maintenance)

You’ll be the go-to person keeping multiple client websites running smoothly- a versatile Web Developer who thrives on variety, learns fast, and takes pride in details.

Hook & Ladder is a purpose-driven digital marketing agency serving multi-location restaurant and franchise brands across the US and Canada, and we’re looking for a Mid-level Web Developer who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to support technical delivery across multiple projects. You’ll jump between projects, keep websites updated and running smoothly, and continue growing as a developer in a fast-paced agency environment.

This role is for someone who loves variety, picks up new tools quickly, and wants hands-on mentorship from our Web Lead and senior developers while building real-world experience across WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, and Wix. You’ll work under the guidance of our Web Lead and Senior Developers, which means you should be proactive, communicative, and comfortable asking questions when you need direction.

This is a hands-on maintenance role. You’ll be handling WordPress + Elementor Pro edits and troubleshooting across a rotating portfolio of client sites, plus making practical, non-advanced edits in Shopify and Wix (product/page updates, theme customization) when a project calls for it, and coordinating with the Web Lead and account teams to keep every site on track.

We want someone who’s organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely curious about growing their skills across multiple CMS platforms, someone who understands that every website they touch matters to a real client’s business.

Okay, but why Hook + Ladder?

    • Remote-first, flexible, and built on trust. We care about outcomes, not clock-ins. You’ll have the autonomy to own your work without micromanagement, while being supported by a collaborative team that has your back.
    • Your work creates real impact. Your ideas won’t sit in a deck collecting dust. You’ll help drive measurable growth for exciting multi-location brands, and your contributions will directly influence client success.
    • Built to grow. As the agency scales, so can your career. We invest in your development through coaching, strengths-based growth, continuous feedback, and opportunities to become one of our future leaders.
    • A team that genuinely collaborates. You’ll partner closely with Client Success, Content, Design, SEO, and Leadership in a fast-moving environment where initiative is valued, ideas are shared, and wins are celebrated together.
    • Great work deserves great rewards. Enjoy a remote-first culture, flexible PTO, unlimited sick days, and a profit-sharing program. Because when we win, everyone wins!

    ✨What You’ll Be Doing:

    • WordPress & Elementor Maintenance: Handle day-to-day edits, content updates, and troubleshooting across multiple client WordPress + Elementor sites. Make sure every change looks right across devices and browsers before it ships.
    • Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight: Test your own work across devices and browsers before marking a ticket done. Catch broken layouts, spacing issues, and missed details our clients notice.
    • Problem-Solving & Debugging: Troubleshoot common WordPress and Elementor issues (plugin conflicts, layout breaks, broken links), and know when to solve it yourself versus flagging it to a senior developer.
    • Multi-Platform Versatility: Make practical edits in Shopify and Wix when projects require it, product/page updates, theme customization, basic app setup- without needing deep platform expertise.
    • Innovation, Automation & Continuous Improvement: Communicate proactively with the Web Lead and account teams on ticket status and blockers. Stay curious, keep learning new tools and platforms, and grow into a stronger, more senior developer over time.

This Job Is for You If:

    • You have 1–3 years of hands-on experience with WordPress + Elementor (agency experience is a plus, not required).
    • You’re comfortable building and editing pages in Elementor Pro using existing templates and global styles.
    • You have working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, enough for small custom tweaks. PHP/MySQL knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement.
    • ⚙️ You understand responsive design, accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization.
    • You’re comfortable making basic edits in Shopify and/or Wix, product updates, page tweaks, and simple theme customization.
    • You care about website security, SSL, updates; best practices are non-negotiable.
    • You’re not afraid to ask questions; you’d rather check with a senior dev than guess and break something.
    • You think beyond code; you understand business goals and why the site exists.
    • You’re curious about AI, automation, and modern tools that increase leverage.
    • You have strong English communication skills (B2+).

    Bonus Points (Nice to Have)

    • Experience with multi-location or franchise brands (QSR, retail, hospitality).
    • Hands-on experience with Shopify and/or Wix beyond basic edits.
    • Familiarity with GTM and GA4 implementation.
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and ticketing tools (ClickUp, Asana, Jira).
    • Spanish or French proficiency.

This Role Is Not for You If:

    • You need to focus on a single project; this role means juggling several client sites at once.
    • “Close enough” is good enough for you.
    • You avoid collaboration and prefer working in a silo.
    • You resist documentation or coding standards.
    • You ignore security, performance, or QA best practices.
    • You think learning new tools isn’t necessary.

Show us what you got. Tell us how you think. Let’s see if we’re a fit.

  • PressW: UX Designer

    Headquarters: Remote, United States

    URL: http://pressw.ai

    About PressW

PressW is where some of the world’s most ambitious companies come to actually ship AI.

We’re redefining how businesses harness AI by building real systems for real clients, not just selling slides about what’s possible. We’re a team of three exited AI founders and a group of Applied AI Engineers based in Austin, and we’ve been heads-down for the last few years building this firm into something we’re proud of: more than 70 production AI solutions shipped, 40+ clients across seven industries, and over $50M in measurable profit gains delivered. We work on the bleeding edge of what AI can do, guide our clients to the right solutions for their business, and ship the infrastructure they run on.

We sell across three divisions. Managed AI is our MSP, purpose-built for institutional investors: private equity firms, venture capital funds, asset managers, and capital markets clients. We map how a firm actually works, deploy custom agents into the workflows that consume deal teams’ time (reading deal documents, drafting IC memos, scoring targets, triaging inbound, structuring offers, monitoring portfolio companies), and keep evolving those systems as models and firm needs change. AI Engineering embeds our teams directly with clients to build and harden production AI systems. AI Transformation handles roadmap and readiness work, helping leaders figure out what to build, in what order, and how to prepare for it.

    Job Description

You will own the user experience for PressW’s healthcare scheduling platform rebuild (codename Phoenix), reporting to Engineering Leadership. The platform serves hundreds of thousands of workers across mobile and web, plus an admin interface used by 1,000+ healthcare facilities. Every user-facing surface is being rebuilt from scratch, and you are the person who determines what the new experience looks and feels like.

This role starts before any frontend code is written. Your first months are research: auditing the existing platform’s workflows, understanding where users struggle (template management is the #1 pain point and the top churn driver), and conducting customer research with the client’s product and CS teams. That research directly informs the API design for each service group and the frontend architecture. By the time frontend engineering begins (~week 20-24), you have months of research behind the design system and component library you’re handing off.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead internal platform audit and customer research (Phases 0-2). Map existing workflows, pain points, and user patterns. Work directly with the client’s product and customer success teams to understand what needs to change and why.

    • Provide API design input during backend service group migrations (Phase 3). The REST API shapes should reflect how users actually work, not just how the database is structured.

    • Design the complete user experience across two frontend batches: worker-facing (schedule viewing, shift pickup, messaging, push notifications) and admin-facing (template management, schedule building, reporting, compliance). The admin batch is where the platform’s NPS moves.

    • Build and maintain the design system and component library. Establish patterns for accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA target), responsive design, and consistency across web and mobile.

    • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Conduct usability testing to validate decisions before and during rollout.

    • Participate in frontend rollout feedback: usability testing with real users during wave rollouts, synthesizing feedback, and iterating on the design.

    • Present research findings and design decisions in weekly UX reviews with the Frontend Lead and client product team.

    Qualifications

    • Strong UX design experience with both web and mobile applications.

    • Experience conducting user research and translating findings into product design decisions.

    • Experience designing for complex, workflow-heavy applications (scheduling, operations, admin tooling, or similar).

    • Experience with legacy system transformation: understanding existing workflows well enough to redesign them without losing what works.

    • Ability to design for systems involving APIs and data integrations, with an understanding of how backend structure impacts UX decisions.

    • Proficiency with Figma or similar design tools.

    • Strong communication skills. You will present research findings and defend design decisions to both engineers and client stakeholders.

    • Must have shipped meaningful design work in the last 2 years.

    Preferred

    • Healthcare or regulated-environment design experience.

    • Design system and component library ownership.

    • Accessibility (WCAG) expertise.

    • Comfort with AI design tooling for quick iteration and prototyping.

    • Experience working in cross-functional teams alongside engineers on active builds.

    Why Join PressW

You own the user experience end-to-end for a platform that hundreds of thousands of people use daily. Research through rollout, two apps, two audiences. Small team, high autonomy, real stakes.

PressW is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Please note that only qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview. Thank you for your interest in PressW!
