    About the Finance Team

The Thumbtack Finance team’s mission is to be a strategic finance partner to the business — enabling better decisions supported by data, building a world-class finance function, and doing it all with integrity. We work closely with every part of the organization to connect financial insight to business outcomes and help Thumbtack grow responsibly. Our team values clear thinking, sound analysis, and a genuine partnership with the leaders we support.

    About the role

As the Senior Manager, Partnerships and Special Projects Business Finance, you’ll help define how we grow our business through our network of partners, build frameworks that enable us to scale efficiently, and influence strategic decision-making.

This role will build the financial framework that powers one of our biggest growth levers. You’ll partner with Product, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Finance leaders to evaluate where we should invest, how to scale partnerships profitably, and where opportunities exist to expand into new verticals. Approximately 25% of the role will focus on special projects designed to build scalable frameworks that help keep both sides of the marketplace in equilibrium and guide investment decisions accordingly.

This is a strategic finance role for someone who can move beyond reporting and forecasting into business architecture, deal economics, decision support, and investment strategy. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially minded, and comfortable bringing structure to ambiguous marketplace problems.

    What you’ll do

    • Own and evolve the company’s partnership financial framework, helping teams develop sustainable financial strategies and evaluate valuation, payback periods, scenario analysis, and revenue-share structures

    • Establish reporting infrastructure and KPI dashboards to monitor the ongoing ROI of partnerships, hold cross-functional partners accountable to financial commitments, and identify actions to improve performance when results are off track

    • Develop business cases for major partner investments, pricing levers, supply acquisition, demand generation, and operational capacity

    • Support annual planning, quarterly business reviews, and resource allocation by connecting partnership strategy and execution to the company’s financial goals

    • Build executive-ready narratives that clearly explain marketplace performance, investment tradeoffs, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions

    • Partner with Analytics and Data Science to build dashboards and decision tools that give business leaders visibility into partnership health and investment performance

    • Lead special projects focused on developing scalable financial frameworks that inform marketplace investment decisions and help maintain healthy supply-and-demand dynamics

In order to be successful, you must bring

    • 6+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, marketplace strategy, business operations, corporate strategy, consulting, analytics, or a related function

    • Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with driver-based models, cohort models, unit economics, LTV/CAC, contribution margin, ROI analysis, scenario planning, and long-range planning

    • Strong understanding of marketplace dynamics, including supply-and-demand balance, liquidity, matching, utilization, pricing, incentives, retention, and monetization

    • Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior executives and cross-functional partners

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build concise executive narratives and influence stakeholders across Finance, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations

    • SQL, BI, AI fluency, or data visualization experience preferred but not required, depending on the analytics support model

    Expected salary ranges

    • For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $191,300.00 – $247,500.00.

    • For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected salary range for the role is currently $172,600.00 – $223,300.00.

  • Collaboration.Ai: Senior AI Engineer – Agentic Systems & Data Pipelines

    Headquarters: Minneapolis, MN

    URL: http://collaboration.ai

    Who We Are

Collaboration.Ai is a mission-focused, AI-powered software and services company based in Minnesota, with employees, partners, and customers around the world. We unite people, technology, and purpose to accelerate breakthroughs that transform industries, empower communities, and create a more sustainable future. We collaborate with organizations across the defense ecosystem, helping them navigate complex challenges and drive transformative change.

    Our Products

NetworkOS — NetworkOS is an AI-powered platform that aligns people, purpose, ideas, and expertise in real-time, generating actionable insights to propel movements forward.

CrowdVector — CrowdVector is an integrated solution marketplace and innovation management platform that rapidly uncovers new ideas and advances breakthroughs to fuel movements.

To learn more about us, visit collaboration.ai.

    About the Role

You’ll build the agentic systems and data pipelines behind NetworkOS’s AI capabilities: production agent workflows built on industry-leading agent SDKs and harnesses, MCP servers, and Agent Skills standards; the eval and observability layer that keeps LLM quality measurable; and the ingestion pipelines that turn messy, diverse data sources into queryable knowledge.

This is an execution seat, not an ivory tower. You’ll commit code every week, ship agents as product capability rather than demos, and help shape a roadmap that’s heading deep into graph + agents territory — for customers in defense, public sector, and regulated enterprise.

Agents in production. Pipelines that hold. Evals that keep everyone honest.

    What You’ll Do

    • Ship production agent systems — design, build, and operate agentic workflows (agent SDKs, MCP servers, Agent Skills standards) powering AI-driven matching, analysis, and data intelligence

    • Operationalize LLM quality — build the eval and observability layer with Langfuse, golden datasets, LLM-as-judge patterns, and FinOps-style tracking so every workflow has measurable quality, cost, and latency

    • Engineer data pipelines — robust ingestion of documents, structured data, and external sources into searchable knowledge bases with quality validation, deduplication, and incremental updates

    • Own retrieval quality — hybrid search combining vector, keyword, and metadata retrieval, continuously improved through reranking, query expansion, and contextual compression

    • Accelerate with AI — build custom MCP tools and Agent Skills that make the whole engineering team measurably faster

    • Execute alongside the team — pair with full-stack engineers on AI integration points, contribute to incident response for AI services, and keep your hands in the code

    Our Tech Stack

    • Languages: Python (primary); Kotlin (core platform language at CAI); TypeScript/Node.js and other modern languages (secondary)

    • AI/ML: FastAPI, Pydantic; multi-provider LLM SDKs (Anthropic, OpenAI, and others)

    • Agentic Tooling: Claude Code/Codex/etc.; industry-leading agent SDKs and harnesses; MCP servers; Agent Skills standards

    • LLM Operations: Langfuse + evals (golden datasets, LLM-as-judge); in-house FinOps tracking (token usage, latency, cost); multi-provider orchestration including AWS Bedrock

    • Search & Retrieval: Vector databases, OpenSearch, embedding models

    • Data: PostgreSQL, Amazon S3; streaming pipelines (Kafka/Kinesis) where needed

    • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (AWS EKS); DataDog + OpenTelemetry observability

    What We’re Looking For

    Must-Haves

    • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on AI/ML or data engineering

    • Production agentic/LLM application experience — built and operated systems around LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) serving real users: agents, tool-use, or orchestrated LLM workflows

    • Data engineering background — robust, scalable pipelines for AI/ML workloads

    • LLM operations experience — evals and observability for production LLM systems (quality, cost, latency)

    • Production retrieval experience — vector databases and/or search engines (OpenSearch, Elasticsearch)

    • Modern Python stack proficiency — FastAPI, Pydantic, async/await, modern dependency management

    • AI-native workflows — demonstrated ability to leverage Claude Code/Codex or similar agentic coding tools to accelerate development

    • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS

    • US citizenship required (DoD contracting — IL4/IL5 environments — and FedRAMP compliance)

    Nice-to-Haves

    • Deep agentic ecosystem experience — Agent Skills standards, custom MCP servers, agent SDKs across major vendors

    • Advanced RAG expertise — GraphRAG, agentic RAG, contextual retrieval, reranking strategies

    • Graph data experience — knowledge graphs, graph databases, or graph-based retrieval

    • Model selection & rightsizing — matching models to domain-specific use cases across quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs

    • Streaming data experience (Kafka, Kinesis) for real-time knowledge base updates

    • Research background, open-source contributions, or an advanced degree in ML/IR/NLP

    Why Join Collaboration AI?

Real AI engineering, not a wrapper shop. Production agents, hybrid retrieval, continuous evals, and a roadmap heading into graph + agents — with the autonomy to shape how it’s built.

AI-native by default. We build with AI, not just for AI. Agentic coding tools (Claude Code/Codex/etc.), agent SDKs and harnesses, MCP servers, and Agent Skills standards are how we work daily — you’ll both use and build them.

Work that matters. Defense, public sector, and regulated industries — SOC 2 and NIST compliance, FedRAMP readiness, and customers whose missions demand AI they can trust.

Small, senior team. Early-stage impact with your work visible from week one. You’ll help set the bar for how AI engineering is done here.

  • Collaboration.Ai: Senior Software Engineer

    Headquarters: Minneapolis, MN

    Who We Are

Collaboration.Ai is a mission-focused, AI-powered software and services company based in Minnesota, with employees, partners, and customers around the world. We unite people, technology, and purpose to accelerate breakthroughs that transform industries, empower communities, and create a more sustainable future. CrowdVector — CrowdVector is an integrated solution marketplace and innovation management platform that rapidly uncovers new ideas and advances breakthroughs to fuel movements.

To learn more about us, visit collaboration.ai.

    About the Role

You’ll ship product across the full NetworkOS stack — Kotlin/Spring Boot microservices through Next.js/React interfaces — keeping the platform reliable, performant, and architected for 10x growth in regulated enterprise and defense environments.

This is a hands-on execution seat on a small, senior team. You’ll own complete vertical slices from database schema to UI, with no cross-team handoff gaps and no “not my layer” excuses. Your code commits move the roadmap — and your work is visible from day one.

Whole-stack ownership. Production every week. Code that moves the roadmap.

    What You’ll Do

    • Deliver features end-to-end — own complete vertical slices (PostgreSQL schema, Kotlin service, GraphQL contract, Next.js UI) and ship production features without waiting on handoffs

    • Own core API and service health — design and maintain GraphQL and REST APIs with clean domain boundaries, keeping latency low and reliability high under growing load

    • Master the data layer — design PostgreSQL schemas, optimize queries for scale, manage zero-downtime migrations with Liquibase, and build effective caching strategies

    • Ship with confidence — comprehensive test suites (unit, integration, contract, UI) at 80%+ coverage, with CI/CD quality gates that catch problems before production

    • Build resilient systems — structured logging, distributed tracing, custom metrics, circuit breakers, and graceful degradation patterns

    • Elevate the team — mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code reviews, architectural discussions, and pair programming

    • Automate with agents — build agentic primitives that make everyday full-stack work faster; AI-native development is how we work, not a side experiment

    Our Tech Stack

    • Backend: Kotlin, Spring Boot, Ktor, Gradle; GraphQL (Netflix DGS); REST/OpenAPI

    • Frontend: Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript; Turborepo; Tailwind CSS + shadcn/ui

    • Data Layer: PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Kafka, DynamoDB, Amazon S3

    • AI Integration: Python, FastAPI (LLM-powered service touchpoints)

    • Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Helm, ArgoCD

    • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Codecov, Snyk

    • Observability: DataDog (APM, logs, tracing), OpenTelemetry

    • Security: AWS KMS, AWS Secrets Manager, Auth0

    What We’re Looking For

    Must-Haves

    • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, backend-weighted with real production frontend contributions

    • Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Spring Boot (or Java/Spring with willingness to adopt Kotlin)

    • Working proficiency in TypeScript and React (Next.js preferred) — able to ship UI features within an established design system

    • Solid experience with Python and modern frameworks (FastAPI preferred)

    • Experience with PostgreSQL, relational database design, and migration management

    • Proven track record in continuous delivery environments with automated testing

    • Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS; strong grasp of microservices patterns, API design, and distributed systems

    • AI-native workflows — demonstrated ability to leverage Claude Code/Codex or similar agentic coding tools to accelerate development

    • US citizenship required (DoD contracting — IL4/IL5 environments — and FedRAMP compliance)

    Nice-to-Haves

    • GraphQL API development and schema design at scale

    • LLM/AI integration patterns (structured outputs, LLM workflow orchestration)

    • Security-conscious development and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, NIST 800-171/800-53)

    • Depth in AWS services (EKS, RDS, S3, Secrets Manager) and DataDog observability

    • Greater Twin Cities, MN based

    • Open-source contributions or active technical community involvement

    Why Join Collaboration AI?

Work that matters. We build AI-powered solutions for defense, public sector, and regulated industries — SOC 2 and NIST compliance, FedRAMP readiness, and customers whose missions demand the most trustworthy software.

AI-native by default. We build with AI, not just for AI. Agentic coding tools (Claude Code/Codex/etc.), agent SDKs and harnesses, MCP servers, and Agent Skills standards are how we work daily. You’ll push the boundaries of what AI tooling can do across the full stack.

Real ownership. High-autonomy culture on a small, senior team. You’ll own outcomes end-to-end — and your work will be seen, used, and valued.

Modern stack, no legacy drag. Cloud-native Kubernetes infrastructure, Kotlin and Next.js, continuous delivery — built for growth, not maintenance mode.

At Hightouch, our mission is to help our customers leverage data and AI to grow their businesses. The team is ambitious, impact-driven, efficient — and we believe humility, kindness, and compassion are essential to our success. If you’re energized by velocity, obsessed with raising the bar, and want to build alongside people who care deeply about each other and our customers, we’d love to meet you.

    About the Role

This is our first dedicated security hire, and it’s a rare chance to define the function from the ground up. You’ll own Hightouch’s application security posture end-to-end. We have strong engineering fundamentals and a solid foundation; now you’ll shape what security looks like here as we scale from 70 to 140+ engineers.

This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role. You’ll spend most of your time in the codebase, not in meetings. You’ll be solving hard problems at the intersection of security and distributed systems:

    • Multi-tenant isolation on a system running ~1M data syncs per day and ingesting 100K+ events/sec
    • Sub-tenant access control – for multi-team and multi-brand use cases, requiring differentiated access to configuration and data
    • Security architecture – Build and refine our frameworks for compute isolation and perform threat modeling and hardening of new products
    • Internet-facing APIs – Our high-throughput, internet-facing architecture services customer data at scale. You’ll improve our rate limiting, abuse detection, and granularity of access control
    • Multi-Region and Multi-Cloud – Supporting our multi-region and multi-cloud backend, including extending it to launch Hightouch on in new regions to support data residency requirements of our global customer base

You’ll own your roadmap. We’re not looking for someone to run a checklist — we’re looking for someone who can look at our architecture, identify the highest-leverage problems, and go fix them.

We are looking for talented, intellectually curious, and motivated individuals who are interested in tackling the problems above. This is a senior role, but we focus on impact and potential for growth more than years of experience. The salary range for this position is $180,000 – $400,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with our remote-first policy. We also offer meaningful equity compensation in the form of ISO options, and offer early exercise and a 10 year post-termination exercise window.

    About You

You’ve been an early security hire at a SaaS company before and moved the needle on how they approach security. You can read application code, threat model a distributed system, and ship production fixes. You have significant distributed systems expertise so that you can understand and influence what is being built by the product teams and influence from a place of trust.

    Experience that’s relevant:

    • Being an early security hire (first 1-3) at a SaaS or data infrastructure company
    • Securing multi-tenant platforms: tenant isolation, authorization models, etc
    • Cloud security on systems that span more than one cloud and operate against customer-owned accounts
    • Design and build of data infrastructure as an early engineer, not just a user. You helped secure it from early design or during major redesigns. You understand how it scales and how it’s secured
    • Privacy-adjacent security (PII handling, data residency, GDPR/CCPA technical controls)

We don’t care about certifications. We care about what you’ve built.

    Interview Process

    1. Recruiter Screen [30m] – Introductory mutual fit assessment

    2. Security Architecture Interview [60m] – Threat model discussion of a real-ish system, followed by a systems design exercise

    E-Verify Statement

Hightouch participates in E-Verify. After you join the team, we’ll verify your eligibility to work in the U.S. by submitting information from your Form I-9 to the Social Security Administration and, if needed, the Department of Homeland Security. This process happens post-hire only — we never use E-Verify to pre-screen applicants.
