  • CircleCI: Senior Software Engineer

    Headquarters: Remote, Ontario, Canada

    About CircleCI Engineering

CI/CD has been solved. Now it’s being reinvented. AI agents don’t just run pipelines. They write code, trigger builds, interpret failures, and propose fixes. The interfaces that developers use to understand and trust that work don’t exist yet. We’re building them.

At CircleCI, our guiding principles aren’t posters on a wall. We learn fast: we run experiments, accept failure, and scale what works. We think like the customer: every decision connects back to the developer sitting in front of a failing build at 2 am. We own the outcome: not just our slice of it, but the whole thing. If that’s how you already work, you’ll fit here.

    Team-Agnostic Placement

We don’t hire for a team. We hire for CircleCI. Where you land depends on where your strengths create the most leverage, and we figure that out together. You might own the CI pipeline experience, deploy and release tooling, notification infrastructure, monetization flows, AI agent surfaces, or the foundational web platform. The through line across all of it is the same: full-stack ownership, a high bar for craft, and work that directly shapes how tens of thousands of developers experience CircleCI every day.

    What You’ll Do

    • Build AI-natively. AI is how we work. It’s not a productivity layer on top of engineering, but the default starting point for how problems get approached and solved.
    • Set technical direction. You define the approach others build from. When the problem is complex or the answer isn’t obvious, you’re the person who leads the design discussion, writes the ADR, and makes the call.
    • Invent new interfaces. Software delivery is being reinvented. Pipelines run autonomously, generate fixes, and surface results that need human judgment. The tools developers use to understand, trust, and act on that work don’t exist yet. You’ll define what they look like and establish the patterns the team builds on.
    • Own the full stack. Build features end-to-end in Go, React, and TypeScript. You don’t hand off at a layer boundary. You own the outcome.
    • Obsess over craft. Reliability and responsiveness are design concerns, not afterthoughts. Care about how the interface holds up when stakes are high and hold your team to that same standard.
    • Champion observability. Use Honeycomb, Datadog, and Rollbar to understand and improve your systems. Operational data drives stability, not just incident response.
    • Close gaps and fix the conditions that created them. You’ll notice gaps and close them. When a gap reflects something broken in how the team works, you fix that too.

    What You’ll Bring

    • AI-native engineering practices. You use AI tools daily and can speak to what you’ve built, where they changed your approach, and where they fall short.
    • A track record of shipping. You’ve built something real and put it in front of users. 5+ years of production full-stack experience, with latency, responsiveness, and reliability treated as design concerns, not afterthoughts.
    • Full-stack depth. Strong React and TypeScript. Comfortable owning backend services in Go: API design, data modeling, service integration.
    • System design. You lead architectural decisions on complex systems. You make conscious tradeoffs, document your reasoning, and create the foundation others build on.
    • Adaptability. You don’t just thrive in ambiguity, you reduce it for others. You turn unclear requirements into a direction the team can execute on.
    • Technical leadership. You mentor engineers, give direct feedback on technical direction, and raise the quality bar through how you engage in reviews and design discussions, not just what you ship.

    Sound like you?

You’ve stopped waiting for AI to mature and are already building with it, not as a productivity trick, but as a core part of how you think about problems. You care about the product as much as the code. You’re drawn to work where the patterns don’t exist yet and the best answer requires you to invent it. If that’s how you already operate, we want to talk.

    Canada Base Pay Range
    $156,000$196,000 CAD

  • Mixpanel: Customer Engineer

Headquarters: New York City, US (Remote)

    About Mixpanel

Mixpanel is the leading product intelligence and analytics platform, trusted by more than 29,000 companies to help understand how people use the products they build. By combining powerful analytics with AI that knows your business, Mixpanel helps teams see what’s working, diagnose what’s not, and decide what to build next. Learn more at mixpanel.com.

    About the Team

Mixpanel’s Customer Engineering team is a cross-functional group of highly technical problem solvers focused on driving customer outcomes across the full commercial lifecycle. Customer Engineers are the technical face of Mixpanel in the field — connecting prospect business problems to Mixpanel’s technical capabilities, running sharp evaluations, and ensuring every customer who signs has a clear, fast path to value. The team works in close partnership with Account Executives on new business and expansion, and hands off to Delivery Engineers to own technical activation post-sale.

    About the Role

The Customer Engineer owns the pre-sales technical journey — from discovery and technical fit assessment through competitive positioning, demo, and POC. You establish whether Mixpanel is the right technical fit before committing to a proof of concept, and when you do run one, you design it to be immediately actionable by the Delivery Engineer: focus metric defined, data validated, success criteria agreed upon. You also return post-sale for cross-sell and strategic expansion that requires a new technical evaluation. A great CE shows up researched, thinks in outcomes, leaves every interaction with more clarity than they walked in with, and treats handoff quality as a first-class output.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead technical discovery, establishing the prospect’s business challenges, technical environment, and qualification before committing to a POC.
    • Design and deliver tailored, research-backed demos that connect Mixpanel’s capabilities to the prospect’s specific business outcomes.
    • Establish technical fit — confirm the prospect’s stack is a match and scope what a meaningful proof requires before the POC begins.
    • Own competitive technical positioning — be the definitive answer to why Mixpanel over Amplitude, PostHog, and warehouse-native alternatives.
    • Run tightly structured POCs with defined success criteria, a named focus metric, and a handoff package the Delivery Engineer can execute from immediately.
    • Return post-sale for cross-sell and strategic expansion requiring a new technical evaluation on a new surface or product.
    • Partner with Account Executives on deal strategy, technical objection handling, and expansion planning.
    • Stay close to Delivery Engineers to understand production realities — your POCs should reflect what actually works in production.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has

    • 2–4+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or a technical pre-sales role at a B2B SaaS company.
    • Technical foundation in data analytics, event tracking, APIs, data warehouses, or adjacent domains.
    • Commercial instinct — you understand that your job is to win deals and you orient your work accordingly.
    • Demonstrated ability to run structured POCs with defined success criteria and measurable outcomes.
    • Clear, compelling communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Competitive knowledge of the analytics landscape, or the ability to build it quickly.
    • Humble, hungry, smart, and accountable — these are the bar, not aspirations.

    #LI-Remote

    • Comprehensive Medical, Vision, and Dental Care
    • Mental Wellness Benefit
    • Generous Vacation Policy & Additional Company Holidays
    • Enhanced Parental Leave
    • Volunteer Time Off

*please note that benefits and perks for contract positions will vary*

At Gong, you will join a company built on innovative products, ambitious goals, and passionate people. We are shaping the future of revenue intelligence and we want people who are excited to build what comes next. You will work with a team that dreams big, moves fast, and cares deeply about the craft and about each other. Here, transparency and trust are core to how we operate, and every person has the opportunity to make a visible impact. If you want to grow, stretch, and do work that truly matters, Gong is the place to do the best work of your career.

We are looking for an enterprise seller who is ready to take their game to the next level. You have proven you can close enterprise deals and navigate complex buying processes. You build relationships at the executive level, create pipeline through your own initiative, and show up to every conversation with a clear point of view. You are competitive, curious, and disciplined — and you are looking for a platform where your best work will be recognized and rewarded.

    Responsibilities
    • Own a greenfield territory of enterprise accounts (1,000–4,000 employees), driving net new logo acquisition from prospecting through close
    • Build and manage a self-sourced pipeline — your outbound instincts and creative prospecting will drive the majority of your opportunities
    • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving senior leaders across Revenue, Operations, and Technology functions
    • Clearly articulate Gong’s value proposition at every level of the organization — from end users to the C-suite — generating genuine excitement for what is possible
    • Develop account strategies that identify the right stakeholders, uncover buying processes, and position Gong as a long-term platform partner
    • Land new accounts and expand them — understanding that a strong initial close sets the foundation for a growing book of business
    • Continuously iterate and refine your outbound messaging, prospecting approach, and discovery process — you treat selling as a craft
    • Partner with SDR, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver a coordinated, high-quality experience for every prospect
    Qualifications
    • 5+ years of closing experience with 2+ years selling into enterprise organizations (1,000+ employees)
    • Demonstrated track record of exceeding revenue targets with experience closing six-figure deals ($250K+) in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
    • A proven ability to build pipeline through your own initiative — you do not wait for leads to come to you
    • Experience competing and winning against established alternatives — you are comfortable being the challenger in a conversation and know how to win on the strength of your ideas
    • Familiarity with land and expand selling motions — you think about accounts as long-term relationships, not one-time transactions
    • Experience with MEDDPICC or a structured value-based selling methodology
    • Consistent role tenure with a clear career trajectory — you have built depth in each role before moving on
    • SaaS or platform selling experience, ideally into Revenue, Operations, or Technology functions
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience with Gong.io is preferred but not required

    • We offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs.

    • Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching.
    • 401(k) program to help you invest in your future.
    • Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development.
    • Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend.
    • Paid parental leave to support you and your family.
    • Company-wide recharge days each quarter.
    • Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.

We are always looking for outstanding Gongsters! So if this sounds like something that interests you regardless of compensation, please reach out. We may have more roles for you to consider and would love to connect.
