This is a remote position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highly motivated, outgoing and energetic with a professional demeanor<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable learning and using multiple software tools<\/li>\n<li>Customer-oriented and empathetic toward drivers<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build rapport by phone, email, and SMS messaging<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized and detail oriented<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deal with upset customers or drivers when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Have problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to ever changing situations<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think on your feet when a transport goes sideways<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to learn<\/li>\n<li>Ability to accept constructive feedback<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good math skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential duties include but are not limited to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position is Monday \u2013 Friday 8am-5pm\u00a0<strong>Mountain Standard Time<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Communicate with customers, quote rates, and provide up to date information regarding loads.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate loading and unloading arrangements with drivers and customers.<\/li>\n<li>Input orders efficiently and accurately \u2013 attention to detail is crucial.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate freight rates and terms with carriers<\/li>\n<li>Vet new carrier partners; Review FMCSA ratings, confirm insurance<\/li>\n<li>Monitor driver progress from pick up to delivery<\/li>\n<li>Dispatch freight daily by phone and operating systems<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work weekends as needed (currently this is very rare)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation and benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Salary \u2013 DOE<\/li>\n<li>Health and Dental insurance (company contributes to health insurance premium)<\/li>\n<li>Optical plan (in-house $360 reimbursement per year)<\/li>\n<li>Retirement plans with employer contributions\u00a0(up to 3%)<\/li>\n<li>Paid vacation<\/li>\n<li>Paid holidays<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/weworkremotely.com\/remote-jobs\/j-s-transportation-dispatch-professional\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/weworkremotely.com\/remote-jobs\/j-s-transportation-dispatch-professional<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Headquarters: Billings, Montana USA URL: https:\/\/www.jandstransport.com\/ This dispatch position works in a high-energy, fast-paced environment and requires excellent customer service skills, sound judgment, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
