This is a hands-on development role: requirements and user stories are typically already defined, and you&#8217;ll execute against them with real platform depth, not just admin-level configuration. Strong overlap with US business hours is required.<\/p>\n<h2>What You&#8217;ll Do<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Develop and configure ServiceNow solutions across relevant modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, and others depending on engagement)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Build and maintain integrations using REST\/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Servers with existing enterprise systems<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Write advanced JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting \u2014 Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Follow upgrade-safe, OOTB-first configuration practices, favoring Flow Designer and Decision Tables over heavy custom scripting where possible<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support platform governance, data integrity, and technical debt reduction<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Collaborate closely with existing product and delivery teams against defined requirements and user stories<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Contribute to platform-architecture-level initiatives such as Now Assist (GenAI), Virtual Agent, CSDM, and ITOM AIOps where applicable<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Support ACL remediation and platform security hygiene<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What You Bring<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Strong to expert-level hands-on ServiceNow development experience<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>5+ years hands-on enterprise ServiceNow development experience (8+ years in Information Services overall preferred)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Advanced JavaScript skills for ServiceNow scripting (Script Includes, Business Rules, UI Actions)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Strong communication skills for close collaboration with client and delivery teams<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Comfort working within an upgrade-safe, OOTB-first configuration philosophy<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to work independently against pre-defined requirements and user stories<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Nice to Have<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Experience with specialized ServiceNow modules: Integration Hub, Performance Analytics, Software Asset Management (SAM), CSM, or App Engine Studio<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>ITIL 4 Foundation certification<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience with AI-enabled ServiceNow capabilities (Now Assist \/ GenAI, Virtual Agent)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Experience with CSDM 4.0\/5.0 and enterprise-scale platform architecture<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/weworkremotely.com\/remote-jobs\/toptal-senior-servicenow-developer-remote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/weworkremotely.com\/remote-jobs\/toptal-senior-servicenow-developer-remote<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Headquarters: Remote URL: https:\/\/www.toptal.com\/ About the Role We&#8217;re looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise ServiceNow implementations \u2014 from module configuration and integrations to platform lifecycle management and technical debt reduction.
