You\u2019ll build the business logic and protocols that deliver flexible flows, scale highly distributed systems, and continuously improve our infrastructure to help us provide the <strong>most accessible and enjoyable way to learn to code<\/strong> to our users.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019ll design, build, and ship major user-facing engagement features in collaboration with product managers, designers, and developers, using <strong>C#,\u00a0ASP.NET Core,\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>TypeScript.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll develop backend components in conjunction with <strong>SQL Server<\/strong>, the underlying database on top of <strong>Entity Framework Core<\/strong> as ORM.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll design scalable <strong>APIs and services<\/strong> that support the growth of the Mimo platform.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll build and operate <strong>infrastructure<\/strong>, <strong>toolset<\/strong>, and <strong>deployment pipelines<\/strong>, taking operational ownership of the services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>You\u2019ll thrive in this role if<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>You\u2019re a seasoned developer<\/strong>. You have three (or more) years of experience as a backend developer shipping features for large-scale and real-time applications using <strong>C#<\/strong> and <strong>ASP.NET Core<\/strong>, building consumer-facing products.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You have a bias for action.<\/strong> You have a strong sense of urgency; when you see a problem, you solve it. You don&#8217;t have time to waste on analysis paralysis and prefer to learn from your mistakes as you go.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You\u2019ve built and maintained APIs.<\/strong> You hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems, bringing a sound understanding of API design and best practices.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You care about code quality.<\/strong> You follow engineering best practices like code reviews to ensure and maintain excellent application performance and code quality.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You take the lead to ensure reliability<\/strong>. Practical experience securing, monitoring, log analysis, and conducting investigations in cloud-based environments (we use GCP).<\/li>\n<li><strong>You\u00a0<\/strong><span><strong>pay excellent attention to detail.<\/strong>\u00a0When reasoning trade-offs, you\u2019ll put the user first and care<\/span>\u00a0deeply about the details.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You ooze the values of the DevOps mindset.<\/strong> You\u2019re intensely curious and passionate about running software in DevOps environments and eager to explore DevOps and SRE more.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You know a thing or two about architecture, containerization, and orchestration.<\/strong> You\u2019re keen to learn\/or use container systems like Docker, Kubernetes, and\/or Platform as a Service.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You have a sense of ownership<\/strong>. You believe in solving a problem entirely rather than simply shipping a solution.
