Position Overview:<\/p>\n We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and scaling our core backend infrastructure, ensuring that we provide secure, reliable, and high-performing services to our users. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design and implement backend solutions that power our financial services platform.<\/p>\n Job duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems, APIs, and services that are scalable, efficient, and secure.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Performance Optimization: Ensure that our backend services meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards. Optimize and improve existing systems to handle increasing traffic and business demands.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver full-stack features that drive the business forward.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in software development.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and contribute to their growth by sharing your expertise in backend development, architecture, and best practices.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, security, and reliability, and ensure timely resolution.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends in backend development, fintech, and cloud technologies. Contribute to the evolution of our tech stack and development practices.<\/p>\n Required Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and secure web applications or APIs.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Languages: Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Node.js.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Databases: Expertise in working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), Redis and SQL databases.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Microservices: Strong experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 APIs: Expertise in RESTful API design and integration, and experience working with third-party APIs.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Security: Experience with implementing security best practices in web applications, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, etc.).<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 CI\/CD: Knowledge of Continuous Integration\/Continuous Deployment (CI\/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Agile: Experience working in agile environments and using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.<\/p>\n Preferred:<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Fintech Experience: Previous experience in the fintech or payments industry, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and security practices.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 DevOps: Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, as well as monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Blockchain: Familiarity with blockchain technology and its integration into financial applications.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Languages: Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python, Java, or Rust.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 AI Technology Development: Experience in developing AI-based applications, including implementing machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP), and working with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.<\/p>\n Personal Traits:<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Passion for technology, innovation, and learning.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Strong sense of compliance, ensuring adherence to policies, standards, and regulations.<\/p>\n \u00e2\u0080\u00a2 Positive, professional attitude, fostering a constructive and collaborative work environment.<\/p>\n Notes:<\/p>\n By clicking Apply, you will be automatically redirected to a form to fill out your information, after you fill out the form you’ll be redirected to a 1-hour exam.
