Performs a<\/p>\n<p>wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing,<\/p>\n<p>electrical, heating, ventilating, and\/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level<\/p>\n<p>not requiring formal licensure. May be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades,<\/p>\n<p>such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and\/or locksmith.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The below describes but is not limited to the main duties and responsibilities in your role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitors, maintains, and performs standard repairs to building electrical facilities\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>and systems, such as tubes, fixtures, switches, photocells, and outlets; assists<\/p>\n<p>licensed electricians with non-technical repairs as appropriate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitors performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility;\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>performs standard repair\/replacement of components, as appropriate, and nontechnical maintenance tasks such as cleaning of heating and cooling fan coil units<\/p>\n<p>and adjustment of system controls.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitors and perform non-technical maintenance of plumbing systems, to include\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>standard repair of leaking fixtures, cleaning obstructed waste lines, installing water<\/p>\n<p>coolers, and\/or performing non-technical modifications to plumbing and water<\/p>\n<p>supply systems; assists licensed plumbers, as appropriate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Performs carpentry maintenance tasks including routine sheetrock\/drywall\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>installation and\/or repair, window replacement, cabinet and countertop<\/p>\n<p>replacement, painting and texturing, and door and hardware installation; paints<\/p>\n<p>interior and exterior finishes, as appropriate.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>May assist in maintaining the water treatment and storage system. <\/li>\n<li>May perform general maintenance, custodial, and trash removal tasks. <\/li>\n<li>May repair kitchen equipment. <\/li>\n<li>Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies;\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Documents facilities maintenance requirements; maintains appropriate records of\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>work performed.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain tools and storage areas. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain flowers and gardens. <\/li>\n<li>Maintain facility carpets<\/li>\n<li>Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required Qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>specified.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed diploma from an accredited institution that is above the minimum\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>education requirement.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specialize skill trade in at least one of the areas electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting,\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>drywall, carpentry etc.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>environment.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Record maintenance skills. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to repair and maintain appliances and heating and cooling equipment. <\/li>\n<li>Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. <\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of one or more building trades. <\/li>\n<li>Able to plan and prioritize jobs working with a Preventative maintenance progra<\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Title: Facilities Technician Role: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping, washing, polishing and dusting floors, carpet, walls, windows, and doors; trash and recycling removal; cleaning restrooms; stairwells, offices and other areas as required.
