Position Overview:<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer<\/strong> to join our engineering team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and scaling our core backend infrastructure, ensuring that we provide secure, reliable, and high-performing services to our users. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design and implement backend solutions that power our financial services platform.<\/div>\n

Job duties and Responsibilities:<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
\u2022 Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend systems, APIs, and services that are scalable, efficient, and secure.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Performance Optimization: Ensure that our backend services meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards. Optimize and improve existing systems to handle increasing traffic and business demands.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR).<\/div>\n
\u2022 Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver full-stack features that drive the business forward.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in software development.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Mentorship: Mentor junior developers and contribute to their growth by sharing your expertise in backend development, architecture, and best practices.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to system performance, security, and reliability, and ensure timely resolution.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with the latest trends in backend development, fintech, and cloud technologies. Contribute to the evolution of our tech stack and development practices.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Required Skills and Experience:<\/em><\/strong><\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on building scalable and secure web applications or APIs.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Languages: Proficiency in server-side programming languages such as Node.js.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Databases: Expertise in working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), Redis and SQL databases.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Microservices: Strong experience in designing and building microservices-based architectures.<\/div>\n
\u2022 APIs: Expertise in RESTful API design and integration, and experience working with third-party APIs.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Security: Experience with implementing security best practices in web applications, including data encryption, authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, etc.).<\/div>\n
\u2022 CI\/CD: Knowledge of Continuous Integration\/Continuous Deployment (CI\/CD) pipelines and DevOps practices.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Agile: Experience working in agile environments and using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.<\/div>\n

Preferred:<\/strong><\/div>\n
\u2022 Fintech Experience: Previous experience in the fintech or payments industry, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and security practices.<\/div>\n
\u2022 DevOps: Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, as well as monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Blockchain: Familiarity with blockchain technology and its integration into financial applications.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Languages: Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python, Java, or Rust.<\/div>\n
\u2022 AI Technology Development: Experience in developing AI-based applications, including implementing machine learning models, natural language processing (NLP), and working with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.<\/div>\n
